The beautiful Princess Kitana is the adopted daughter of the great and might Emperor Shao Kahn. Shao Kahn overthrew her parents, who ruled Outworld, when she was a baby. When this happened, 10,000 years ago, Kahn took her as her own, then permitted Shang Tsung to destroy the once lush Outworld. She is essentially a prisoner of the dark emperor, watched over carefully by Shang Tsung and his Outworld creatures. Although her true intentions are known only be her, Kitana is a key to the survival of the realm of Earth.
